Chaos Axe is the popular skin.
Fortitude Mod (+30) is the most popular grip. Hilt can be fussed about little. |

6-28 is max dmg for all axes-Chaos Axe is the most popular axe skin
The best axe would probably the following *add your own modifications* Sundering Chaos Axe of Fortitude (req 8 axe mastery) 6-28 dmg Dmg + 15 pct while health is above 50 pct *some ppl might prefer while enchanted* Armor Penetration 10 pct (10 pct chance)-the Sundering Axe Hilt *some ppl might prefer Furious hilt for more adrenaline or a variety of other hilts* Health +30-Fortitude Grip *some ppl might prefer max armor grip of +5 armor or a variety of other grips* Nyways-if u looking for appearance and performance the above is the way to go, but if u just wanna kick butt i suggest just get The Razorstone *someone correct me if im wrong on The Razorstone mods* The Razorstone 6-28 dmg (req 9 axe mastery) Dmg +15 pct when health is above 50 pct Armor Penetration 10 pct (10 pct chance) Health +30 The Razorstone is one of the special green items and is currently worth 65-100k *depending on how long a person wants to wait to sell it* So those are your options for the perfect axes |

razorstone :
slashing dmg 6-28 (req 9 axemastery) +15% dmg while health is above 50% double adrenalin on hit (10% chance) axe mastery +1 (20% chance) both sundering and fortitude are highly overused. i prefer a +5 armor grip, cause it's waaaaay cheaper and it reduces dmg nicely, giving your monks a bit more space to breath :P |

IMO
You want max damage 6-28 and +15% dmg while health is above 50% on it, then just upgrade it anyway you like, your upgrades will depend on what you're fighting, where you are and your gameplay style. The skin makes no difference to the way the axe works you'll just be paying a lot more money for popular skin. You're better getting any skin you can till you have a lot of money to burn. |

Agreed. Cheaper and more effective. Armor > HP (for warriors) +5 armor mod is a must for tanks IMO. Anything else is just like eating an expensive hamburger while you could be eating steak for less. And why eat hamburger when you could have streak, right? |

Axe
Dmg: 6-28 (req. X) Additional Modifiers (each of one): +15% Damage (while health is above 50%) +20% Damage (while health is below 50%) +20% Damage (while hexed) Prefix: Anything, depends 100% on what/how you're fighting. Suffix: Of <something>slaying when, fighting a specific kind. Of Defense, when fighting many different kinds of creatures/creatures that don't belong to any kind. Enchantments last 20% longer, when using lots of non-permanent enchantments. This is what I prefered to bring on my Warrior. |

The best axe in the game is which ever axe you need for your build and that character. a cheap collectors 15>50 battle axe with the same mods, will perform no different than a razorstone, yet the razorstone will cost you 5 times more. not sayingthat paying for looks is a bad idea, just research what youll need before buying your axe.
A zealous axe hat can be a very useful mod for an axe. it will allow for almost constant energy (cyclone axe is amazing for filling an almost empty energy bar with a zealous axe) elemental dmg is also very useful depending on the location youre in. an icy axe works well in places like the fire islands chain. same with a firey in the shiverpeaks. The +30 health grip can be useful for running or stance tanking, while i found that a +5 always or +7 vs physical/elemental (depending on area) can be much more helpful as it will reduce the damage more. The damage reduction can be far more useful that the little extra health. Just research what type of build you want to run. then look at your skills youll be using. then look at the areas youll be going into. then decide on whats the best Modifier for you axe. then decide on the look of the axe you want to go with. granted i know i sound like a gaming nerd, but it can make the difference between a successful expierence, and a frustrating one. |

heh
/agree with most of what you said their Yichi except for the collector part
You have a primary warrior? One of the big bummers is that the axe was passed up for 15^50 in the crafter scene while the sword and the hammer got the love. And to be a bit more specific there are *no* collector melee weapons 15^50, just the ones you can craft in Droknars. For collectors, Bows get the love 15^50. So really the axe is the only one without a built in 15^50 (the recent IDS adds to the sword options) Thus gold ones and green ones with it get some love even apart from the skin Feel free to correct me if you know of one I missed, but I don't think it's out there. The +15^50 is highly overrated because +15% while enchanted and +15% while in a stance can be used at all times. If your a stance tank you will be in a stance almost 100% of the time. If you are a w/mo then you should keep yourself enchanted 100% of the time. As far as axe hafts go I like to use the zealous mod and cast balthazars spirit on myself because I never run out of energy. When I am solo farming I like to use +18 or 19% longer enchatments grip (+20% does not help any more than +18 or 19% longer enchantments). If I go into an area that alot of the enemies are using degen spells then I use fortitude axe otherwise I like to use armor +5 mods.

But you know, if you're a warrior, you're going to be above 50% alot of the time assuming you have a monk. And a single wild blow or enchant strip doesn't end that.
